The part where Mark tore off Gemma's photo and later put the pieces back together was a hint that Gemma had died but Lumen put her back together somehow_ maybe she had a brain injury as the cause of death and having a donor sign on her ID for example, Lumen took hold of her body and performing a brain surgery revived her to perform from the remaining of her brain, hence making her slower with a blanker facial expressions compared to how vivid she looks in her photos before the accident.

it's not just helly's lie, the nature of the lie betrays a woman who doesn't realize a gardener isn't going to be working outside her crappy apartment at night. that is a mistake a woman like helena would make. also, at the end of the episode, she struggles to find the on button for her computer while the camera lingers. definitely helena.

My theories.

1. Definitely helly. She flirted with mark and got angry at her outie. The lie was clearly on the spot. Just like season 1 the red hair girl is literally a red herring.

2. They all have 3 personalities, not two. They go into the third in the elevator without ever knowing. This is hinted at several time. The colors red, blue, and green. The three bed scene with Ricken.

3. Mark is definitely on the board, but doesn’t know it. That’s why the board doesn’t hardly talk, and isn’t seen. Additionally, they all wake up in the board room. And episode one mark speaks through the speaker. All clues.

Irving repeatedly mentioned he is the most senior member of the group. We were supposed to laugh at this as a dark humor, but it should carry more weight, in connection to his visions about the dark narrow hallway in his drawings and the elevator to the test floor, plus his outies attempts to locate people on map.

He should have been part of experiments before the severance procedure evolve enough to emerge to the public. And because of those experiments, he used to commute the testing floor dark hallway/elevator.

He had some people's name at his outside house (mostly older people?) which could be because back then the severance procedure wasn't strong enough, so he could remember names when coming back home and kept locating where those names lived, but after experimentation and advancements to severance he got totally separated and forgot about them.

One issue is that I don’t know if Milkshake would tell anybody of what went down.
So even if Helly switched back to Helena, there would have to be proof.
Nobody will believe Cobel.

I think it's Helly R, what she discovered about herself was too much for her to process at that time and she doesn't know how would her friends would react knowing she is the daughter of the current CEO of LUMEN and a primary advocator of severance, she's probably afraid that Mark and the others might change how they see her if they find out that's why she lied about what she saw outside.

I'm guessing Huang might be Mark and Gemma's child not sure why but that's my hunch is telling me.

I think Dylan storyline is gonna be interesting becacuse Dylan's innies what's to find more about his outies family and it's a pretty good dilema, would you choose your friends that you personally know inside the company or choose you're family you don't know about when you're inside the company?

Can't wait to see S2EP2 I hope whatever it is LUMEN is doing I hope the show runner never tell us because the mystery is very interesting, it's like X-Files season 1-5 mystery for me.

What about what Milchick said at the beginning? He said that Helly R and Irving B both made contact with people on the outside. We know about Helly R's contact but we don't know about Irving B's. What happened at Burt Goodmans house that night? I think the situation blew up, with much yelling, possibly involving police. This and the speech both on the same night must have prompted the investigation that Mark asked to happen

In regards to the Italian guy talking about the ropes and plates and brooms. I think that is a nod to hell how many huge corporations have the technology and money to build a safe and advanced factory, but in a country where they can get away with doing less, they will.

I think the redaction of some of the article could be because they've seen newspapers before with redacted information. So maybe they redacted some of the story to make it look more believable to them.

Mark W came back from retirement from a branch that he thought had closed, this is to prep us for when Bert returns to the show AFTER he had been retired.

Mark W also said we never made quota, I think that was said so we'll see that this Macrodata refinement team with Mark and team are very good at their jobs, and worth some trouble, as to why they are not being erased as we known they can be, overtime contingency was not the only thing that can be done to severed people from the control room.

What if O&D were right. People at MDR are severed at a level that once matured they create an uprising/coup of some sort and their new identity (larva) would take over their past (as if eating it away).

If it is Helena, maybe we find out for sure soon. But the MDR team doesn't find out until much later.

It's definitely either Helena or a 3rd severanced state version of Heley R.

the italian guy might sound weird. but he has no concept of time. he looks like an italian guy from 18xx-1930s. so when he is talking about brooms and a rope. maybe thats just how lumen started before they became that big company and he was just not activated since then ( like a ms casey situation we dont know if they actually age regulary.i still even think the new ms huang might be a new upload of ms casey as a child).

I was totally with the thought helly just acted normally when she came in but after watching the episode 2 more times i totally swung the other side.
She wasnt like mark or irv still in the second of being tackled when she came off the elevator. her face and the weirdest hug ever when seeing mark again right after. she pretty much kissed that guy like 10 minutes before in her point of view . why would she be so thrown off by a hug. after she pointed out "no cameras", later in the break room the grp stated they are concerned they are still monitoring and she immiately objected and encouraged people to give info ( while she didnt give hers, which i expected in the group situation, but if she had feelings for mark, she 100% would have told them in their 1v1 moment later) also turning the computer thing was kinda sus aswell. So she probably is helena, the main question is though what the entire project on that floor is about. the series seems to be hinting at that its all about Mark being the main component of their experiment, the chosen one. So the ceo to be to take the future into her own hands might be more likely then it seems.

How would Helly R even know what Sweatpants are? Plus…when we see Helena…she has more makeup on….blush especially. When She says she was in her sweats, her face had more blush, like her outie’s makeup. Probably for us, the audience. When she’s back in the hall, no blush.

It’s Helly…. But…

Helly experienced more in that 5 months than the rest of the team. They took her and interrogated her and offered her something in a similar way to what they offered Dylan. She is there to spy on them, but not as Helena.
