I love this ending so much. In my opinion Kasumi and Leon had the best and most emotional endinga in DOA 3 by a long shot. Both of them literally brought tears to my eyes a few times. I had to remind myself that it was just a video game.

You missed the point. When a Ninja runs away they carry the inner most secrets of their clan with them. So they send tracker ninja after them to snuff them out before the runaway becomes an even bigger security risk.

@brandrico35 Kasumi did not kill her brother Hayate. She loves him too much. They fought each other twice in the tournaments so far. Once in the 2nd one when Hayate lost his memory (when he became Ein), and again in the 3rd one when he regained his memories.

Kasumi was expected to lead the Mugen-Tenshin Clan along side her brother. When he was paralyzed by Ayane's biological father before the 1st tournament, she ran away so she could avenge him...Once you run away, you cannot come back.

I remember having a fun time with Dead or Alive 3. I never really stuck with the series as I was mainly a Mortal Kombat and Tekken fighting game person. But man, this ending is gold!!! It was branded right into my mind and I always watch it now and again.

Does anyone know the musical track to this? It fits the story and imagery so well.

@Temari164 She ran away from the clan to avenge Hayate who had been paralyzed by another ninja of the clan who was the ending boss at the first DOA Tournament...who also happens to be Ayane's biological father.

Left the Village and took Hayate's sword with her. Kasumi went to find Raidou, (Ayane's biological father) who crippled Hayate.She kills him but could never return to the village.

It was not his descision, also, she broke the code of the village, becoming a runaway shinobi. Granted she did this because she was worried for Hayate, after he was kidnapped by DOATEC around DOA2, but still. He lives with the regret of being the leader of the clan, while this happens. However, play the sequils and you'll be happy.
