Bought this knife back in July at my local Cabela's and it works great, quite the nice knife.

I have one of these and love it. It stays in my kayak. The knife feels like more, and does more work than what you'd expect compared to the price. Value! The handle feels flat and kind of lacking, but it saves weight, space and makes it easier to carry. Wrap it if you need more grip than what is there. The sheath will take it. Great all around knife.

I'm an avid outdoorsman and spend most of my time in the middle of "no where". hands down this beats every other survival knife I've ever had! highly recommended!!!

If anybody’s coming here in 2024, I bought this knife (marked up like crazy) at a gun show, and put some decent use into this knife. It’s good for a moderate beating, holds well for its price point, but don’t abuse it too much

I have one of these knives. It is a decent little knife, keeps a decent edge on it, and I like the notch in the spine for ferro rods. The two things I dont like about it are the sheath and the handle. The sheath is plastic and the retention strap is basically a large rubber band. Mine broke within 2 months. I removed the two screws that hold the rubber retainer in place, and just ran some 550 cord through it and used a spring loaded toggle to keep the knife in place. Also, the ferro rod is very small, it would work in a pinch, but I have a nice beefy one in my firestarting kit. The handle on this knife is very thin. I do not have big hands, and this knife feels too thin to me. So I could not imagine someone with large hands trying to use this knife. Also, the handle does not extend to the sides of the full tang handle, so when you are using this knife for even a short period, the metal tang will start to hurt your hand. IMHO, the handle material should have went to the edges of the tang and should have been a little thicker to fill up your hand somewhat.

Over all, it is not a bad knife, it just could have been a little better. But, it IS made in China, so you get what you pay for.

I am in the process of building a leather sheath for mine, and I will replace the handle with a nice DIY wooden handle that is a little more fuller.

idk this knife looks decent for the price, but it looks to just be all plastic and crap steel. The field and stream 1871 fixed blade seems like a much better buy.
