They should’ve been more honest with her. It sounds like she quit two jobs because she wasn’t willing to adapt. First, she said she wasn’t used to the demographic (which is fair). Second, she said, she had a decent job in Ohio, but teaching online got hard.
If you’re broke, you have no space to quit a job because it got hard.

Same way you form a budget with high income. Look at your monthly pay and split it between your bills. After paying off your bills if you don’t have enough money to live a comfortable life, your either spending too much or don’t make enough.

I’m a public high school teacher in Ohio and teaching remote was hard, but we’re back and I feel stronger than ever. I’ve been in the game 10 years and I’ve learned that if you find a job with a better district/school, it will make a WORLD of difference! I was in a rough district and came to a top-10 district in the state and my work life is so much less stressful and so much happier. There are better teaching jobs out there!

"not used to the demographic..." Read: I'm not used to brown people.

I have my own YouTube channel based off things Dave has taught me. I am not in much of any debt but I paid off 11k in debt in 2019 to get my life back on track. Restarting the process now

"I am trying to get out of debt, but I quit my teaching job."... ugh!

I think a lot of people have this problem. When you're by yourself the smallest things become very overwhelming and everyone expects you to handle it without help. I've struggled with this my whole life. All you can do is find anything to earn money in the short term to take some of the stress away. Small steps to improve your life and try to be optimistic.

What did the title have to do with what the caller talked about? I clicked on this video because I am low income hoping to get some info besides working more hours or getting a better paying job.

They were encouraging her to teach but the honest truth is that teaching is not for everyone. Teaching is not worth it for some people including her.

Ridiculous call. Imagine this was a man calling and saying this haha Dave would have torn him a new one. This woman doesn't want to work and just wants money to magically appear.

Everything is hard for Jacy. She can't afford to keep quitting jobs just because it's 'hard', or she 'doesn't do well with the demographic' (what does that mean even?) Life is hard, and they don't call it work for a reason. I wish her luck.

The title is so wrong for this clip. There was no advice at all on how to budget on low income! Obviously you need a higher paying job, more hours etc.... very obvious... but for many that doesn't happen. I could feel her discouragement and feeling brushed off with this "advice" ....

"I grew up in the Midwest and teaching in Las Vegas, I just wasn't used to that demographic of students."... The look on Dave's face after she said that is priceless.

Make more money is easy to say. Finding that second job with the hours you have or don't have.

Gotta love when you call them out on excuses not to work and then say okay but what about this job or school and it turned to " ohh umm yeah well" like nah she just doesn't wanna work and just likes spending money rather than making money Like most people now 🤦🏻‍♂️

I grew up in Las Vegas. The schools are overcrowded and underfunded. Many teachers don’t stay for long.

Being a music teacher is really hard right now. So many of my Public school teacher peers are really struggling. I have 35 students in my private studio and it has been amazing. If you’re a musician teaching privately I’d amazing and I still have time to pick up gigs and side work

The low income callers focus on the past, the high income callers focus on what they should do in the present and future.

The title doesn’t match the video content
