I played for 2 years with 4 characters all kept up other than the last 3 months. I spent money on the characters but since I'm not a whale that will put down 10k in the game or wayyy more. I quit when it started feeling like a job to me and I dreaded that. So I gave up immortal and started an Xbox ultimate game pass that I've stopped playing as well and instead found the Ge Force Now app and 6 months for 25USD. Before buying i went to Steam, Epic, and others and purchased over a month about a 1, 000 worth of games for about 200 bucks. This includes Cyberpunk 2077, Dead 2, Hogwarts Legacy, Star Wars Outlaws, South Park Fractured But Whole, Guardians of the Galaxy, Resident Evil The Village, Assassin's Creed mirage, Brotherhood, Revelations, Witcher 3, Diablo 4, Dragon Ball Kakarot and many many others. But just those alone are enough to keep me busy for a while.

Been playing for over a year the simple answer is YES just play pve STAY AWAY from pvp!! Im still having alot of fun playing with my clan and warband.

Yes, you CAN play this game PVE F2P and ALSO PVP. Not BG but you can with the PVP events where everyone is at the same level with same reso.

I am a free to play player, and I've been enjoying it. I've been playing for about a month and am currently paragon level 450ish and on Inferno difficulty.

I think if you want to get really powerful as f2p, it is possible. You just have to treat it as such. If you want to get powerful fast, you will have to open your wallet.

This game is the MOST Pay2Win game I've ever played in my life... there's not other game that is more Pay2Win than Diablo Immortal.

I'm a low spender, took me 9 months to go from 1k to 2k res. About to hit 40k cr but I have a wb who is starting inf3 raids. We have been immortal twice but after the server merge that probably will end. I get emp pass and boon.

At gold4 pvp isn't gun now there is 10k res. I grind 4-6 hours that's a lot.

You can be at top of PvP leaderboards as F2P. A lot of it is quantity over quality. For Tower War, I am currently 2nd in the barbarian leaderboard, and I am 100% F2P. I am at rank 16 for battleground. My win rate for both is right around 50%. It took a ton of grinding to get to legend on both, but it is doable. Once I reached legend, I stopped grinding the PvP. Most people don't bother to get Legend, especially on tower war, but, the season rewards for doing so are nice. Tower war is going to give me 38 Gems and 37 Reforge stones. BG will be 76 gem and 70 reforge stones. You also get weekly rewards, which are mostly charms and reforge stones, plus the rewards for each rank, which is a ton of aspirant keys. Not grinding these is a lost opportunity for F2P players.

if u are going full f2p dont play the game. market is pretty much dead and getting resonance from that ave will take u alot of time now. also, getting into inf3 will be probably impossible in your first 2 o 3 months. game gives u enough cr to get near current content but not enough. its just a pain for new f2p players.

In my experience, i've been playing almost 4 months started in season 27. And im p476 and managed to grind up 990 reso so far. I have only spend about $35 bucks, which is more or less F2p. soo 4 months new player/990 reso/$35 spent, i think thats a pretty decent 'ratio'.

It was fun when you could farm alot of platinum. I guess blizzard got mad because people were essentially farming resonance, I got all my 5 star gems to rank 5 and awakened so im happy with that.

Is it free? Proceeds to immediately talk about everything you need to buy in order to be any kinda competitive in this game. It's technically free to play, but you will NOT have a good time playing it free. I tried for almost a year and never won a single pvp battle once. It's so demoralizing.

I do, and I’m awesome, I feel like I’m cheating myself when I spend money on a game, skills earn you enough in this game to enjoy it, I’m inferno CB 3467 and Paragon level 457 my server is 470 I’ve on been play this game for a few weeks now so I think that’s probably good, another thing I did it all solo, play this game and enjoy it and every else will eventually come together

Either you spend your hard earned money, to progress and enjoy,
Or you spend your Time, which is money, unless ofc you just want play to kill time ( breaks),
Remember if a product is free, You are the product.

I just pvp for the little bp points and the 3 daily rewards. Once in a while for extra keys

I just wonder if the game penalizes you if you just play for free. It's pretty fun and you can't go wrong to throw 5 bucks a month at it. Although don't expect to become a God or anything! 😅😅😅

I would say you can play it for free. I am playing for about 2 Month and i am Paragonlevel 445. I have allot of fun with the game every day especially when i am playing together with friends. The Problem is that if you want to be one of the best players you need to spend money. But if you just want to play the Story and want to have fun with friends i would say that you can play it.

The right choice buy phantom market and focus on getting 10.000 plat and go for those echoing shades and buold uk gear but for a free to play player what next after u max out main gear and secondary what come after echoing shades when u awakening gear like u can only get so strong looking for more tips for that extra ways to help free players like my self to get extra combat raiting

I start playing this game a few months already and I spent around $15 for a month. my opinion ? the game is not too good and not that bad too. I don't really compete with any players inside the game just doing PVE events and for entertainment purpose only. and if you want to feel empower against other players then ofc you need to pay.
