In this episode, Emma explores the Native Title Act and whether it is still relevant in modern Australia. Emma looks at ways it it useful, and where the Act falls short. She also speaks to Yamatji Elder Thomas Cameron, whose experience in claiming the land he grew up on, Mingenew Reserve, left him looking at alternatives to the Act.

Thank you. This was helpful.

It would be really helpful to do Part II and focus mostly on going into more depth on alternatives and the legal, cultural, social, economic and environmental implications of this.

If it wasn't for Victoria's proposal the massacres would have continued. Around 70 years later Sir Eddie Mabo went and got what we as indigenous people are entitled to. The biggest boss move this culture has ever seen!
