Legendary Pentagon Papers whistleblower Daniel Ellsberg died Friday, and as we remember his life and legacy, we revisit his message for other government insiders who are considering becoming whistleblowers: “Don’t do what I did. Don’t wait ’til the bombs are actually falling or thousands more have died.”

Our whistleblowers are being threatened and that needs to stop.

He helped end the Viet Nam war. He was a hero. My Dad, a 26 year retired Marine, shook his hand.

“A war’s worth of lives”. That is a VERY heavy statement.

I can't ever forget Carl Sagan's lesson about two men standing in a pool of gasoline, arguing about who owns the most matches...

The government treated him like a criminal. He was a Patriot.

He may be American, but he isalso a hero of humanity. We either stop the madness, or put our head between our legs and kiss our ass goodbye.

Years ago, a hiker on the Appalachian trail befriended another hiker to his camp and fire. The weary hiker accepted. Their conversations wandered to a hypothetical question by the guest about the ethics of revealing a secret and that guest accepted a heartfelt answer about doing the right thing and left in the morning. The guest was Daniel Elsberg.

We need more people just like you in this world. If we had those the world would be different may God bless you in every way.

Truth is not dangerous. Its never dangerous. The people who want the truth hidden might be dangerous, but that doesn't mean the truth will kill anyone. People will kill. When you confuse the two, you end up placing the blame for violence on victims who speak up.

Many are being blackmailed, threatened (they and / or loved ones), or bribed.
They must come forward and tell the truth. Pray they do.
