I crossed UK immigration last month and it was a breeze, it took hardly 2-3 minutes and the officer stamped the passport and on the other hand, same thing happened with my friend who was travelling with me, they took his passport and then enquired for half hour long and in the end let him go.

It is not US. It is UK where are procedures are verified upfront in order to approve the permit and it is approved only when they are satisfactory. So, please stop creating nervousness on the ongoing passengers.
