Simulator v Real World Flight in a Cirrus SR22T - Part 1-Sim Flight

I'm a big fan of using every tool I can to become a better pilot. One of my favorite tools is my home flight sim. I thought it would be fun to post the same flight flown on a simulator and on a real Cirrus SR22T. On today's video I'm flying a flight from Santa Monica to Bakersfield CA on my Cirrus SR22T simulator. Watch them both and you'll understand why I believe using a flight sim should be a part of every pilot's training whether you are an experienced pilot or just getting started!

Great to see side by side sim and RL you tube episodes, excellent idea and very entertaining SR! I was inspired by this and got a cirrus cockpit avadyne entegra dual 430waas version with the flight sun frame from real sim gear to go with my RL g1 sr22 flying adventures! Just finished watching the whole thing. Great flight! Really appreciate the trick you showed when enriching the mixture on decent. The engine would get so wonky that I started leaving it leaned and worried that I was developing a bad habit for the real world. Now I know I can just briefly go full throttle to fix. Great looking setup. Would love to know the various components you are using (yoke, scrrens, FMC panel, etc.). Maybe you have a video on it already. I'll search for it!

How often do you get the yellow manifold pressure warning in your real plane? And if you do get it in your real plane do you do anything? I seem to get that message a lot when I use torquesim’s sr22.

Question - when you fly the sim does it replicate the current weather? Can you make the weather more challenging?
