1. Robtop kept adding new stuff without finishing the last features he added.
2.. Robtop tried to add features above his programming skills at the time.

I would have been happy of robtop just added small features as the long wait time caused many players to quit or forget about the game entirely

This sort of thing happens with a lot of games, when you're making a game it's SO easy to add smth that you think will take you only a day or 2, but it *always* takes longer than you think, whether its due to bugs, balancing, or just it being difficult to implement. In a lot of these cases, games end up abandoned or release as a buggy mess so I'm grateful that Robtop managed to fix (most) major bugs and get the update out, even if it took so long.

• Pretty sure 2.2 wasn’t accidentally leaked, Rob just used the latest build as a base to update the spinoffs and didn’t care
• Most of the icons weren’t included in the GD Lite “leak”. None of the cubes were, which was likely intentional
• Never saw anyone complain that Explorers is unsynced, played it myself and it’s great
• iOS 17 wasn’t the only version to break GD, iOS 15 did too (for some reason 16 worked)
• RobTop never “lied” about the release date
