CHAMPAGNE COCKTAIL Long drink (flûte)
9.0 cl Chilled Champagne or Sparkling wine
1.0 cl Brandy
Add two dashes Angostura Bitter into flute, and one half sugar cube. Pour gently chilled champagne. Garnish with orange slice and maraschino cherry

ok, acceptable but I never could get my head around the brandy in the drink, I think it´s just not right....

It isn't right. The ingredients of champagne cocktails are: 1/2 oz. of Cognac
1 Sugar cube
2-3 drops of angostura bitter
top up with champagne. DECORE IT WITH AN ORANGE SLICE AND A MARASCHINO CHERRY!!!
