I'm fortunate enough to have one. Besides the simplicity of the design I love using it and virtually nobody has a clue about it.
Great video.

I've had the opportunity to own both my Blancpain Fifty Fathoms (FF) as well as the Sea Dweller. I just sold my Sea Dweller today as a consolidation exercise in my collection. The FF has so much more soul and personality; it wasn't even a close decision.

The Blancpain FF is without a doubt one of the most iconic watches of all time. When I first saw this watch back when I was in college I made a promise to myself that I would buy it one day. Fast forward 20 years and I own two of them, the SS and the gold version. My SS version has been my daily watch for the past 13 years. Great video!!

"Nobody knows what it is. Which is the best kind of 'cool' there is." Excellent! Well-said.

This is my favorite watch, bar none! I do believe it to be perfect. I haven't taken to any other watch like this BlancPain.
Great video ID Guy!

I absolutely love the Fifty Fathoms! It is definitely on my grail list.

“Undercover cool” is exactly why I love it. And on paper it is a beast!

Blancpain did make a 40mm 50 fathoms, I have one, it was part of their trilogy series from the late 90s to early 2000s. It has a steel carved bezel and a piguet movement's, I think it has about 100 hour power reserve it almost never stops. The dial is beautiful, the seconds hand tipped in red is so stunning. The watch is mostly unwanted today, so good examples are available on the 71 bracelet for less than $5, 000 .

This is also a favorite for me. I went to try one on, believing that it would be too big anyway, so there was little risk. But, when I wore it, it was so well balanced, and the strap fit my wrist properly. This watch actually fit and balanced better than the Bathyscaphe, on my wrist. It does have a very large wrist presence, but the black and green tones contribute to less overall glare and bling.

Very nice video. This 45mm FF, especially in the Titanium case, is actually quite wearable even on a 6.25-inch wrist.
I love the intro music, btw.

Fantastic video! I own the FF 5015 and I do dive with it. It's my favorite dive watch. I admit the size could be scaled down for daily wear but its 45mm diameter (and short lugs) is perfect underwater.

The position of the date at 4 is fantastic, I've always found the use of the 3 position cluttered. Great video.

My ultimate grail watch. It is absolutely supurb

i wholeheartedly agree with every single word you said! in 40-42mm with the "regular" modern design, in blue, this'd definitely be my grail watch in the "divers/tools" category :)

Can I just say, I love the format of your videos. Thank you.

Great to hear from those that appreciate true horology and quality. I love my 45mm and the only watch in the world I would trade it for maybe, is the new 42mm. Nothing else. Great commentary.

Your opening thesis is spot on - there’s an almost endless number of dive watches on the market.

I love the Fifty Fathoms. After seeing one in an AD a few months ago I was left speechless but, did think it a very thick watch, which drew me more to the different coloured dials of the stunning Bathyscaphe.
I was left wondering which one I would prefer if I had the funds. Both are beautiful watches.

Excellent video!!
I agree that the mil-spec version is awesome!!! As soon as more 40 mm sizes become available, I plan to purchase one of them.
