Global wants BP to release 2024, but it is not ready. It is for the best that BP is delayed further.

Holy I didn't expect this to pop off! I hope to provide more coverage on BP in general and the situation of it. You guys outside of JP deserve to know what's really happening.
YT gave me a notification only today about a comment posted and was expecting just 1 comment.

Imagine making a cool IP and mmo idea but drop the ball so hard, that its now sitting in the center of the earth.

honestly i really want to play this game and patiently wait for their release for years, but region lock ? amazon ? that just death sentence already.

To think this game used to be the most hype game after Genshin

Blue Protocol is literally the embodiment of "Expectation vs Reality"

Okay, thank you for explaining WHY it's delayed because a lot of us don't know the state at all. If this was communicated by a community manager we would not be crying as much or me holding out hope it might turn up this year.

As someone that was originally waiting for Global, I've lost all hype for the release of this game. Could release tomorrow and doubt I'd touch it

NGL, there were several red flags when it launched in Japan last summer:
1. No simultaneous global release. If Mihoyo and Kuro games can do it, why couldn't an industry veteran?
2. Boring combat. A streamer I watched basically called it a "left click simulator".
3. Amazon
4. Lack of ultra wide screen support. If Genshin and Wuthering Waves can do it, why can't Blue Protocol?
5. Predatory pricing for cosmetics, etc.

Honestly, the management team needs to be fired and the game needs a hard reboot (similar to what FFXIV did). Also, all censorship demands made by Amazon need to be ignored.

its like the devs have never played an MMO before and have no idea how to create a gameplay loop

The only thing I remember about this game is that one dev stream where the devs didn't know how to play and explain the new class they made.

Unbelievable! Phantasy Star Online was doing this kind of clear one room move to the next dungeon game play on Dreamcast more than a decade ago

I believe game had ton of potential, I watched couple of Japanese streamers they still play BP after big update but after that they never stream the game til the next update... it is what it is

Amazon as publisher really such a letdown for me, the purge of the foreigner players on the early days make me gave up on it. PSO2 may be content drought but they can be compensate with non demanding class system, variety character customization, creative space and photo mode.

It was dead to me as soon as Amazon got involved and started censoring it in the west. So while this is sad, it doesn't really matter much to me anymore.

Any game that has a region lock on release is a game I wont care about, ever. I had an interest, but they killed it after a JP-only release. Even a secluded country like China does global releases these days.

Bandai is the reason Japan is getting Out-Anime'd by other countries in their own export of Culture (by that I mean, making Anime style games, literally everybody started doing it better than Japan, esp China). Because, for some bloody reason, they have their grubby little hands in allll of them over there, and they suck.

i want to mention that the reason some of jp player dropped it soon after trying it is the class system.
jp players love to play into dedicated job and fully role play it. having it needing you to change class to fully play the game ruin the immersion for them.
also the fact that you only get to pick 4 skills of each class kinda makes it feel not rewarding to grind.

People complain that miHoYo games are easy, but miHoYo at least knows that the vast majority of players are not tryhards. It's better to disappoint 2% than drive away 98%.
