Kevin Steele on why he took the Alabama Defensive Coordinator job: “Well, it’s very simple. Obviously, the feeling about it, when you’ve done it this long, you only do things you feel good about. It’s the third time. I obviously understand what Coach (Nick Saban) wants, and the reason is, it’s Alabama and it’s Coach Saban. Without those two things, that probably wouldn’t have happened.”

The Justice Haynes hype train continues to gather steam coming out of Alabama spring practice. Here’s what On3 wrote: “Haynes was one of the top stars of the spring at Alabama and closed out the spring with three touchdowns in the Crimson Tide’s spring game on Saturday. Even with Alabama being deep at running back, Haynes is positioning himself to be a factor for the Tide as a freshman.”

Alabama has recently offered JUCO recruit Tyler Woodard. Here’s what he told On3 about his offer: “I was very excited about the offer. Coach Freddie Roach hit me up. He said he liked my tape. I told him how much I liked Alabama. He told me that he would get back to me. He then called me later on to let me know about the offer. He said they really liked my tape, and felt like I would be a good fit for the program. I definitely feel like I can compete with the best.”

That is and always will be Bama's MO. No more 1st and 10 run for 2, 2nd down pass completion but holding. 2nd and 18 completion for 5, 3rd and 13 incomplete pass.

Juco guys are a priority for alabama always have been. There’s just not many guys that are good enough. Bama uses juco guys to bridge the gap between vets leaving and freshmen having to play early.
