ohhh babey B) u wanted lore here u go. not quite backstory. more like, beginning of the story.

i went pretty easy on myself on the editing/tweening here since i have some hefty tweening coming up with commissions! :^)

Spoiler warning in case you want to figure stuff out yourself, but otherwise here’s a brief idea of what’s happening.





Magpie’s whole purpose is to kill the ender dragon. Monday/Mykra is . . . not quite a fan of this idea, seeing so many people die at Her claws. Magpie also desperately wants to hide Pallas’ influence from anyone. The deer thus trains vigorously to kill the dragon. The underlying theme here is something that Mykra remains unaware of for a long time. Pallas is very real, though only in her mind -- representing Magpie’s instincts, prey drive, and anger, and acting as a malevolent spirit tormenting her and reminding her of her past. He encourages her to lash out, and while she represses his influence as much as possible, the first dragon fight is the descent into her anger issues.
