This scene is incredible. It’s one of the best scenes in this movie with so many layers and details.

Gwen went back to her room to get the photo of her and miles. Showing us she is willing to go to war for him and wanting to go see him. Also just pick this up, if u pause at 2:15. U can see her eyes are black and red like miles suit. Which highlights she is think about miles and how she can resolve the issues they are in and patch their relationship.


Gwen saying that the mask is her badge shows that her father is the purpose of why she wears the mask by trying to be good.


With also stating that she can do all incredible things but she can’t help the people ahead of loves the most (which mostly talking about miles).


and also saying that they can’t know half for who she is. I think this line really crucial because she knows she has been hiding her identity from her father but also her feelings for miles.


I love that she said she can’t lose one more friend because Gwen can’t lose miles. It’s her only meaningful friendship she has made but deep down she wants something more than being friends.



I think after seeing her speech, though her father is the purpose of why she wears the mask like a badge. Miles is the reason why she continues being spider-women because of how much he inspires her and being the only meaningful connection he has made in her life.
