My sister introduced me to the music of Patty around 1990. I was smitten by the purity of her voice and the great songs she chose. Some years later my sister died of cancer. The hearse was a four black horse drawn coach with all black tackling. I insisted on playing my sisters favourite Patty Loveless song 'Someday I Will Lead the Parade. I still love the memory of my sister and the voice of Patty.

An award will never amplify nor deny the quality and the sheer quantity of the work in the music business you all did. Nonetheless recognition is always welcomed and inspiring. Thanks for sharing Patty Loveless today, I knew the name but never really listened to her. As I did I felt that she has a Linda Ronstadt quality about here voice…but you would know better than us all because you worked with both of them…one can only dream of playing behind voices such as these women, what a blessing it must have been for you.
