Grettle said that Hansel had changed his name, he’s both Jack from the beanstalk and Hansel

One big clue I think that Nick was Hansel was the fact that in Season 1, that Hansel went by Nicholas in Storybrooke... Nicholas- Nick... definitely a call back to season one with the cursed name of Hansel.

The next episode is actually directed by Lana Parrilla herself and its really really good.. cant wait for you to see it and the rest of the season cause its only gonna get better :)

Couple of big questions: firstly, is there gonna be an overall review of Once Upon A Time when you finally wrap it all up? And secondly, what show do you plan to replace it with, if any?

I really enjoyed the interaction between Weaver and Henry in this episode, we didn't really get any grandfather-grandson moments since Season 4A and a few scenes in the Season 5 finale, maybe that's my biggest disappointment with the show, that we didn't get more of this relationship. Definetely one of my favourite episodes of this underrated season.

Thank you so much for another fantastic reaction, for another one of my favorite episodes from season seven!!! I really loved this episode and it was fantastic to see Smee and Black Beard return again!

First... I was happy that the episode began with the best storyline throughout the episode, with the backstory between Wish Hook and Henry. And I really liked that it was a backstory that took place before Henry and Ella married, as Henry searched for a ring with a good story behind it in hope of trying to prove himself to be a hero like Emma, Charming, and Snow. Like so many characters, he's really struggled with finding himself despite having become the Author back in season four even if he did break the quill. I also loved that Hook was the one helping him to find himself too, just as Killian did for him as well for all those years since Killian first arrived in Storybrooke and started becoming a hero.

When we see this storyline continue, we find out that Hook has a map into Davy Jones' locker, which is great, but what was even more great... was that we got to see Black Beard again. I was really happy to see him because he's just a fun character despite him being a villain and I really love the rivalry between him and Hook. Only this version of Black Beard is also from the Wish Realm. And he ends up with the Jolly Roger after Hook had turned it over to Smee, who was apparently forced to hand it over to him. I loved how they sneaked aboard the Jolly Roger so they could take the ship back. It's funny that they had to hide within two fish barrels. Unfortunately for them, they were caught right away after they found Smee and it turns out that very few men were still loyal to Hook. But I loved how Hook protected Henry by announcing he was Prince Henry of Storybrooke, and that Black Beard right away believed him, even if he did threaten to kill Henry later on once they came to Davy Jones' Locker.

However, then we learn that Hook made a deal with Black Beard to help Henry on a fake adventure because he wanted to try to be there for him like Killian had been. Kind of strange that this version of Black Beard seemed so much more willing to help his enemy, but it's most likely because Hook promised Black Beard the rest of the treasure from the chest so long as Henry can keep the ring. Yet true to Black Beard's true character, he betrays Hook and has him, Henry, and Smee bound upon betraying them. And I loved this storyline! It's sad that Wish Hook felt like he has to be like Killian in order to try to make up for his past mistakes he made with Alice.

I also loved how their adventure quickly became not so fake after all when the storm arose. I laughed when Hook knocked Black Beard unconscious when he tried to take back the ship from Hook upon becoming a coward once Henry figured out the reason for the storm and told Hook to take them into the storm towards the whirlpool. I also loved how the pirates looting Davy Jones' Locker for the ring was the cause for the storm and that by Henry tossing it back was what saved them. Good for Henry for discovering how to save them all from being killed in the storm. :) It's a brilliant parallel to season three's premier, The Heart of the Truest Believer when Emma figured out that to save everyone aboard the Jolly Roger from the storm threatening to kill them was if she could get everyone to stop fighting one another when the power of the island began to effect them. What a great nod to that storyline. :)

And one of my favorite moments in this episode and favorite lines... is is when Henry encourages Hook that he would trust him as much as he does Killian on any adventure and through any storm. :) Or he states that he would trust any version of Captain Hook, in any land to save them. This adventure also helped Henry to understand that his story and who he is, is enough after all. And that he doesn't have to go out looking for a grand adventure any longer, or to be anything more than who he is, to prove to Cinderella that he's worthy of her. What a great storyline showing off their friendship!!

Next... I absolutely loved the first moments between Rogers and Weaver, as Rogers is speaking with Weaver about Tilly and how he feels responsible for taking care of her, then seeing Weaver pat Rogers' arm to help give his partner confidence and encouragement to keep up his developing relationship with Tilly. It's more proof how far Weaver's come and how much he really does care for Wish Hook as a true friend despite his past with Killian in Storybrooke. I also was happy to see them continuing to work the witch hunter case.

I really liked the scene between Zelena and Lucy too, showing how they were both struggling with keeping the truth from their loved ones. It was cute and sweet. However, we move on to the next scene between Zelena and Margot and once again they are butting heads and can't stand how she's treating her mother, even though I understand her character's storyline. It just really bothers me how stuck up and full of herself she is, and how she can't find it in herself to really try to understand why Zelena is being so closed off. I know Zelena can't tell her the truth about the curse, or why she's working at the bar again, but she should at least be happy that she and Regina have finally mended their broken relationship. It just bothers me. I think this was my least favorite bit of the entire episode. I felt so badly for Zelena.

I also didn't care much for the scene between Margot and Tilly either. As I've said, I just don't care about how their relationship develops in either storyline. They are cute together and I love that Margot is helping Tilly and encourages her to be herself, but I still have some issues with their relationship too.

Now... I also didn't like that Henry was offered a job to produce other people's podcasts in New York, but I was very happy when Weaver came to distract him from leaving, not knowing he was leaving of course... and that Weaver asked Henry for help in their investigation into the witch killer case because Hansel had left Henry's book behind in the parking garage where he had attacked Drizella. I liked how Weaver made an effort to dissuade Henry from leaving, even if it didn't get very far. However, Weaver didn't give up, as he encourages Henry that his character in the book was his favorite character because Henry fought for hope and belief. Thankfully, it worked and helped them to discover that Nick also had connected with a character within the book as well. And from the title of this episode, Breadcrumbs, as well as the storyline from last week's episode, it is revealed that Nick, who up until now went by the name of Jack... as he took on the role of Jack and the Beanstalk to make himself out to be a well known hero to Henry that he really wasn't, was also Hansel from Henry's version of Hansel and Gretel, or this land's version of their tale. I loved seeing Weaver smile as Henry left, knowing that he had managed to convince Henry not to go because he knew Henry too well.

I loved how Rogers helped to get Tilly a job with Sabine in her food truck. It was great and the moment between them was sweet and funny, as Rogers snapped at her about not biting her nails and being so nervous, while Tilly bit back. I also liked how Sabine was more than happy to have Tilly join her, then pointed out that Rogers had spoken very highly of her. You could also tell how worried Rogers was for Tilly, just as a father would be.

Later... Henry finally changes his mind about going to New York after a second piece of Cinderella's glass slipper popped his tire. I liked how he saw it as a sign and that it did convince him to stay. Unfortunately, Nick is the one who finds him and offers to give him a lift. Yikes! Stupidly, Henry mistakenly revealed everything about his discovery in the case to Nick, which led Henry to getting himself kidnapped. He also wasn't very stealthy about seeing the scars on Nick's wrist either.

While I am not a big fan of the relationship between Henry and Ella, though it has certainly grown on me throughout watching the season, especially over and over again, I still liked how Henry proposed to her in the end. It was a very sweet moment, with no epic proposal like Killian's second proposal was to Emma, Charming's proposal was to Snow, or like how Wish Robin Hood's proposal was to the Evil Queen. Henry's was just simple and nice.

Overall... I love this episode mostly thanks to Hook's and Henry's friendship storyline. Clearly, Nick/Jack/Hansel is awake and he's not convinced to turn himself in when Henry pleads with him in the end. Duh! Of course he's not through killing either and his next target will be Zelena. :)

Thank you so much! I really had fun watching this episode again with you again! I can't wait for more!!! Until then...
