Pie Crust Design: Two Color Chevron Pie Crust

Thanksgiving is my favorite baking holiday, and everyone knows that Thanksgiving means pie! I love beautiful pie art, and I have done tutorials on how to make a herringbone pie crust design and a rose pie crust. I wanted to take my pies up a level using more intricate geometric design work. To figure out this pattern I practiced and experimented with paper strips and quilting patterns, which I really enjoyed. The designs stand out even more by coloring the portions of the pie dough. In this episode I’ll show you how I created this gorgeous two color pie zig zag/chevron pie design. You’d be surprised to know that it’s easier than it would seem, all you need is a bit of patience and three batches of dough.

That's cool... But why didn't you show it baked? How it looks before it's baked doesn't really matter because you want be serving it raw.
