I hope you like vintage teacups, because I'm excited to share with you my collection of antique teacups! All of them are Aynsley teacup and saucers, mostly from the early 1930's and all are turquoise!

This collection of Aynsley teacups has been almost 20 years in the making, and I'm happy to share with you a great tip I received from a dealer about how to start a collection (and what not to do)!

Ohhhh Jann this is the first time for me seeing your beautiful Ansley tea cups collection and I know it has grown a lot since this video. I like the one with the bird inside and I really love roses, inside and out. I don’t collect tea cups but I do like Roslyn fine bone china. We had a whole collection at home. If I had somewhere to display I might consider starting to collect the Ansley tea cups or Royal Albert. Thanks for sharing each teacup, I really enjoyed you describing each one.😍

My favorite teacups are dainty Shelley teacups, but I also love the corset style!

I love your turquoise Ainsley teacup collection! It is really a great representation and all so beautiful. I’ve collected teacups and saucers for decades as it started with my Gramma. I love to collect black teacups and saucers, chintz teacups and saucers (and chintz china in general) and also pink teacups and saucers. I’m drawn to flowers as I grew up around a lot of them so I like to buy tea cups and saucers that have flowers that I know and love on them. Like Lily of the Valley, for example I like to collect ones with Lily of the valleys on them. Obviously you have not to manage to narrow it down quite like you have. But if I think I had to I would narrow it down to black ones and pink ones. Thank you so much for sharing your collection💕

My sister and I have over 100 teacup sets between us. Many of which are Aynsley. They are beautiful! Thank you for sharing. I love the One you said was “sort of square”. Also the corset with the flowers on the outside. Never seen one like that before. Ps. We are in Halifax and so that Birks one is an amazing find :)

my 'very specific' is 'whatever I like' LOL! I have a few Aynsley and I tend to go for this color and dark blue, red, etc but seems the most I find and use the most often are Paragon and Royal Albert.

And I think I like the clipper one, because it is so unusual.

I just came across your video, I loved the ones with the big roses and the ones with the floral bouquets. I don't know if anyone has told you that the white bell-shaped flowers on the outside of the cup were, they are Lily of the Valleys. I have been collecting teapots and cups and saucers for a long time, my china cabinet has little bits of whimsy, birds, porcelain flowers, and a chicken here and there, mostly I collect rose floral teacups and pots. I also lined the inside of my cabinet walls and shelves with lace. I don't agree with the stick-with-one maker, although Ansley is the desired maker now, I have this one cup with large fruit on it and it is beautiful. Although I don't plan on keeping it, I have been watching what they sell for at auctions on eBay and they have been going for $200-$300. So eventually I will sell it on eBay. I bought it at a yard sale for about $5. Oh yeah, it is an Ansley and in perfect condition. The one cup that was lighter in color is Robins egg blue, and it is the color I tend to gravitate to. I am a tea drinker but really prefer black tea with milk and sugar. My 22yo granddaughter is also a tea drinker and a collector of teacups and such, I just don't know where she got it from, lol.

I am hoping to start a teacup collection. I am having a hard time narrowing down what I want to collect. I do love Aynsley. I like the cottage garden collection. I also love pink, purple, several colors, florals, and butterflies. Do you have any suggestions?
