PSA doubling time in this video refers to a person who is diagnosed with prostate cancer, treated successfully, and enjoys a PSA drop to near zero. If that PSA begins to rise quickly it indicates the cancer is back (or they didn't get it all). This video is not referring to the average joe who gets a PSA test but has not yet been diagnosed with cancer. Although that event necessitates some investigation by a doctor, there can be many benign reasons for this.

It's also really important to find urologist that doesn't want to jump right into doing a biopsy just because your PSA is slightly elevated

I think the starting number is relevant. My first ever PSA 2 years ago was 86 at age 65, 10 months ago it was 100, 2 months ago 136 all tested by Kaiser internal lab. However, I paid for online lab 5 months ago it was 130.5 and 1 week ago, 130.3 so still opting for active surveillance and working with online oncology firm to see if it can reduce through prescription drugs before resorting to more drastic maneuvers.

What if between 2 measurements the psa doubles and the next measurement does not

Mine was 10 one month and 4 weeks later it is 14.
I am now very worried.
