I'm glad the oilers won and nice to see Pickard win a game. Not sure why he is not their starter? McDavid is a bit of a defensive liability out there. Will also add that there were some soft calls by the refs tonight on BOTH sides. The last one was not a good call. None of these were called during 4 nations. Needs to be consistent. IMO

Pickaerd did great and they need to put him in games more often. Give Skinner a mental break and let him reset and refresh and Picks fill in until then.

I HATE it when a defenceman flicks the puck with minimal force towards the net/ further from the blue line as an attempt to "clear" the puck out of the defensive zone. Henrique did that at least 3 times in the 3rd period tonight and Carolina had two solid chances, one of them happened with 4min left. Edmonton need to get more depth scoring for these next few easier games, ANA(h), MTL(h), BUF(a) are must win if they want home ice advantage for the opening two rounds of the playoffs. LA Kings are starting to struggle again, St.Louis beat them convincingly 4-1 on a second of a b2b.

Even though they won..it was a disjointed team again..if it wasn't for Pickard, he was the difference

Trade Bouch, bench Stu, and let Pickard take more starts. This dude can actually cook up some big saves! Time to make some real changes.
