I have watched a person I worked for, whom I never would have thought of as racist, bad mouth a qualified black man to promote an unqualified white man for a job with a different company. How do I measure the level of qualification? The black man worked for us and left to better himself and this man tried to get him to stay. The white man applied for a job with us and this man wouldn't hire him because he couldn't pass our basic skills test. The other company called to check the black man's work history when he applied with them. That's when this man bad mouthed him and suggested the white guy instead, whom they didn't even know about! Completely destroyed my trust in him. Be it implicit bias or outright racism, it wasn't right.

This is true; my wife applied for a job; she used her first name and was rejected, and then used her middle name for the same position, and she got a callback. Despite the fact, she has her undergrad and master's degree from a top 10 university. Yes, we have to be twice as better; however, we still have to jump through hoops to get there.

It happens to me all the time I interviews even when I go to rental agents office they have go as far as calling a white by my name while I'm sitting there. And the look on their face when they see I'm black.

I had to change my first name to "Dee" to get called in to the interviewers office for an interview while sitting in the HR department waiting on the interview. They were looking for a white man so none was there so they just set aside my application and moved on to the next woman, name. The very few calls I would get, I would hear your are not Greek. No, Id say, Im not.

After I changed my name to Dee on my resume, I got more interviews. No more hirings though. Whyte folkkks are serious about their racism.

Lived in Europe for over 40 years I have yet to see any Job Application or Doctors Office or any other Government establishment that asks your Race. They might ask you your Nationality but not Race. Only in America it's built into the system. America will never change 😢😢😢

I’m in a job now where they had the audacity to tell me I wasn’t the right color to make the 65 cents ’s pr mile. I was supposed to be hired at that to start. They keep dangling the meat in front of me then pull it to get me to do what they want . Even to break the law and didn’t pay me my correct pay when I refused to break the law. Real trucking in Chicago or Illinois is the worst. I need help.
