Review of the Sennheiser HD800 and Pathos Aurium

I LOVE THEM!
Pathos Aurium has 4 input, one XLR and three RCA but only a single end output. I am now using a balance connection between it and my LKS 9018 DAC. Sounds really good:)

You said you skipped on the AKG K812 because of its build quality. But how do the HD-800 and AKG K812 compare in terms of sound quality? Is the HD-800 better in terms of sound as well?

Going from a $250-300 pair of headphones to these think the price of the HD 800 is well worth it? Like If I'm going to drop $700-1300ish i want to be amazed big time. You think this will happen or not really? Assuming I have the right setup DAC/AMP wise for them.
