I swear half of what makes these videos so addictive is just how much Rick appreciates the art. His joy is palpable.

I keep telling my friends this is one of the best albums ever made AND NO ONE BELIEVES ME. This album and band were slept on. This album blew me away.

Damn rick needs to get on some more post hardcore classics never clicked so fast. This is way too pure.

This is the definition of playing raw, recording raw, but producing with a cool head. This is music in its pure state but well captured. I love it

Cedric could sing a kitchen recipe and make it feel like it was the most important thing in the world.

Relationship of Command is a god-damned masterpiece. I wish he just did Arcarsenal lol.

Nothing makes me happier than Rick Beato air drums.

The fact that this song exists is such a miracle. It's broken from the beginning to the end. What a piece of art. Great mastering and mixing, too!

Those out of tune guitars would have driven me mad if it was my own band but it just goes to show that it’s a lesson to us all not to get too delicate with the recording process. Feel will always outwin perfection. It’s pretty brave of them to have done it this way. 👍🏼

First time I heard One Armed Scissor it blew my mind. Hearing you dissect it and take it apart has also blown my mind. And filled my heart with a load of glee. Rick: you absolute diamond geezer.

There's an inaccuracy about the chorus vocalists. The "Cut away!" parts are sung by Jim Ward. Cedric sings the rest.

Would love to see anything from Refused - Shape of Punk to Come

I love rick's videos so much because even though he knows very complex music theory and jazz he appreciates rock and roll, and he wont try to analyze rock music in a classical way because he knows what makes each genre great. Always remember your roots

"It's total chaos but, it's right in there. Works really well." - Every Omar guitar line, ever...

nobody talks about Jim. He is so underappreciated. He plays such a big part for ATDI. In a way, he helps to ground them. Without Jim it's a little to all over the place. Mars Volta is great. Like Sparta even more. But ATDI is really the best assembly of cast of the 3.

I'd love to see some Mars Volta looked at, if possible. Great video!

My friends and I always called ATDI *"Fugazi with afros".* Amazing fucking band! I saw them live on their Vaya tour and was blown away.

This album ruled and still rules. I would play this non-stop when it was released and still go back to it every now and then. It's still astonishing.

Thank you for digging into the post-hardcore, post-emo scene. There’s so much more creativity like this to explore in the 90s scene.
