I'm a newbie to Thailand (first trip this year) and I need to ask a couple of questions. Some of them may sound silly. But hopefully one of you guys in the comments (that have been to Pattaya several times) can help me out. I would really appreciate it.

1. When I fly into the Airport in Bangkok, what all do I need when I go to immigration? If I'm only there for a two week holiday, do I only have to show them my Passport? Or do I have to fill out paperwork for a 30 day vacation Visa or something like that? If so, where do I get that paperwork so I don't have to stand in the long line twice?

2. I have a lay-over in Japan for 4 hours before I get on my connecting flight to this mean I have to go to immigration at the Japan Airport too? Even though I'm not staying in Japan, just there to catch another flight?

3. Is it a good idea to arrive in Thailand with some Thai Baht already on hand? I can exchange money for Thai Baht back home before I leave....my bank will do it for free, it just takes a day or two for it to come in. Good idea or not really necessary??

4. Can you trust the safe-box in your hotel room? I'm either staying at the Queen Vic on Soi 6 or the Beach Front Resort on Soi how trustworthy are the room safes??

5. If a girl works in a beer bar (and is available to be bar-fined)....does this mean she is of legal age?? If not, how do I make sure the girl is over18??
