Hey, what’s up producers, Joshua Casper here with Plugin Boutique and Black Friday is upon us. Rejoice, as these are the times for us to fill up our toolboxes with new production tools for the next year.

When you go to Plugin Boutique’s deal page right now, it feels like an endless scroll of insane deals.

I highly recommend heading over there if you want to see everything, over 300 deals to be had… link in the description as usual.

However, in this video, I want to tell you my personal favourites. The things that stand out to me.

To start things off, I want to talk about what I call “Generative” plugins. These are plugins that help me create ideas or help me build out my projects.

First up, I bet you can guess, it’s Scaler 2.

Scaler 2.7 just came out and just that update is filled we game changing features; like the Live Sync and Multi-MIDI-Out. I have done many, many videos about Scaler and even full-on livestream with its creator.

Scaler can help you build chord progressions, melodies, basslines do advanced modulations and more. Whether you know nothing about theory or are a seasoned pro, Scaler can help you make better music.

Next, Melody Sauce. This deceptively simple looking plugin creates a wide range of Melodies that work perfectly more often than not. It’s ease of use combined with its results are undeniable.

And, moving from there, it’s got to be Audiomodern’s generative plugins. They have a bunch and the are all on sale right now. Loopmix just came out which allows you to automatically chop up loops, Playbeat does the same but with one shots, Riffer gives you complex or simple melodies and Chordjam creates chord progressions.

All of them function flawlessly, have great and unique features and if you combine them the results are literally jaw dropping. Not to mention, they look great. Big shout out to Audiomodern for what they are doing and how they are doing it.

And, actually, speaking of Loopmix, I just did a video on combining it with Loopcloud and how incredibly well they go together. Which is a perfect segway to talking about Loopcloud. Loopcloud is essential for me and my workflow. When you have over 4 million sounds at your fingertips, anything is possible. I can’t stress this enough. Every single audio project you hear in anyone of my videos was started in Loopcloud or enhanced by it. It’s that simple; Loopcloud is that powerful.

If you haven’t tried Loopcloud out, now is the time. You can not only try it for two months for just two dollars, but they are even throwing in Sublab from Future Audio Workshop as a free gift.

What? It’s a no-brainer. By the way, if you are already a Loopcloud subscriber, you get Sublab too, you should have already been notified, but if you weren’t reach out and the team will get you sorted!

Now, kind-of going back to smart plugins, I can’t not mention sonible’s smart line of plugins. These plugins not only do complex jobs for you or at least get you going in the right direction, I find that they actually teach you about how to do things correctly along the way and, as a music production educator – on my best days, of course – I love it!

great consolidation, thanks a lot. one request, pls avoid video transition that lets out a bright flash of light. most plugins are on dark mode and it really hurts the eyes. thanks.
