Which Cheap Toaster is Best?

Today I'm comparing 4 toasters under $30 to see which one comes out on top! Three of these are name-brand toasters and three I purchased at a local Walmart. The Cuisinart is the only toaster I bought on Amazon.

I've had cheap and expensive toasters, what I've learned is you have to adjust all of them to your own taste. I may not like what you like and vice versa

I always put waffles on hi setting in microwave first 15 seconds, toasts quicker and no cold spots.

The mainstays was 8 bucks at my local Walmart. You're right, it does run pretty hot, but once you get used to what settings you need it works fine for how cheap it was. I like that it's pretty slim and slots right in beside my knife block on my miniscule side counter.

I have had that same Hamilton Beach toaster for about 8 years paid $10 for it at Walmart & get great toast & bagels all the time. Great review!

Nicely done review. We just purchased a Hamilton Beach toaster at Target as a Black Friday deal. It was $10, but I think it was a different maybe more basic model. We tested it using one slice of Wonder bread and it consistently burned the center side even on the lowest setting. Other customers reported similar experiences with the toaster. We returned it. Now I’m wondering if the Hamilton Beach model used in your review would work properly for us. Can’t believe how hard it is to find a cheap toaster that works.
