After so many years of undergrad and medical school, I finally start my first job as a doctor. Residency is something I have always looked forward to and I can't believe I am finally doing it. This week we had orientation and received our long white coats. I can't wait to take you all along with me on this new journey through residency. Stay tuned, it's going to be a wild ride!

Cheering you on Dr. Andersen
I always hear surgeons and anesthesiologists are the hardest residencies because of the academic workload and “pimping”, I wish you nothing but the best Dr. Andersen. ❤

Eat well! Sleep well! If you can’t work out as much, you probably get in your steps at the hospital.

It’s like you said, “The most important thing is you are happy and healthy!”

Vacation time will come!

You don't need luck! You are smart, have a great work ethic, are prepared, and are well-versed in what your life priorities are. You got this!

Choppy vlogs feel more personal and authentic, it's easier for me to connect with content when it's less processed. Anyway, CONGRATS and good luckkk <3

As a non-us IMG in my final year of med school that is looking to do residency in the states this is incredibly insightful. Please keep vlogging throughout residency when you can. All the best of luck Shaun!

Happy for you! First video I watched of yours was the moving vlog and it feels only recently you just got into med school. Here's to see a video titled "Finished residency" in the near future!

Good luck Shaun. With all these rotations it feels like 4th year all over again lol. I hope Deepal also got to spend a ton of time vacationing like you did.

good luck on your residency!!!! I just graduated from veterinary school & started my first real adult job and it is such a crazy transition having actual patients and responsibilities now 😳 but I love following along with YouTubers in human medicine (mainly you and Rachel) because so much of it’s relatable still! Keep up the good work and I’m looking forward to the residency vlogs!!
