If the debt is held by a non-government entity how can he eliminate the legally owe money? Why don’t he eliminate people’s mortgages if he so wants to help the middle class. Hey, pay off my car, that would help me. Nobody forced these people to go to college. They Chose to go and take that debt. Too bad, pay your bills like the rest of us.

The only reason Biden won't end it unilaterally and is punting the issue to congress is because he doesn't actually want to cancel student debt. He wrote the bankruptcy bill and was a major cause of the issue as it exists today. Call your representative if you can!

You gave not one single law in proof of your claim. He can likely only get away with it during a national emergency by citing some very loose laws that were intended to give the government wiggle room on budget should a crisis come up (invasion, national disaster, etc.). He needs congressional approval otherwise. The law is clear.
