I caught this on the sony alpha rumors site as I was looking for info to pass along to a friend that I'm trying to convert to team sony (they are new camera shopping). This video is so perfect! Well done! I bought my a7r3 last year, an upgrade from my a7r2, and honestly had this been around I would have done this instead. For those that are unfamiliar with these cameras... I can not stress how much better the new Z batteries are! I would keep 2-3 extra with me before... now just the one is enough!

Hey I like shooting with vintage adapted lenses M42, Pentax K, Nikon F the IBIS and the improved grip on the A6600 helps greatly with those lenses especially if you older with less than steady hands . Plus you also get a boost with lenses that have steady shot built in so the A6600 IBIS is a win win in my books books.

Nice review. I did recently get the a7rii because I primarily shoot landscape and wanted the extra features. But, I still kept my a6000 which I love for the small form factor and travel. Maybe down the future will settle for that a7k if it arrives. But for now, this will do. Got the a7rii for $999 2782 actuations

A6600 is the best option for anyone picking one of these cameras as a pro setup. I use a A6400 though to film for my YouTube channel as I don’t need IBIS nor battery high capacity as I run a dummy adaptor setup

Camera sales are on the decline for at least the last 3 year's. Don't think it has anything to do with trade wars. It's like the cable companies. The more subscribers they lose the more existing subscribers pay... Phone's, everyone has a camera with them 24/7 now. To me a6400 is your best bet, not much more expensive than the a6100. If I'm spending $1400.00 I'll go full frame.

Right now the Alpha a6600 APS-C Mirrorless Interchangeable-Lens Camera with 18-135mm Lens is $1, 598.00 and the Alpha a7 III Digital Camera with 28-70mm Zoom Lens Kit is $1, 879.00 a mere $281 difference. I don't have either camera, but I think getting the A7iii is technically a much better camera. People with many cameras in their war chest think getting the lesser one is good enough, but for those who only has one camera getting the one with more features will serve and save them in the long run.

A6600 holiday deal body only for $1200 on Adorama I realized today. I’m tempted to go for it, but I really would like the separation from a full frame price to be greater. Maybe when it eventually drops to $1000 and depending what else Sony brings out, I’d go for it.

You are so right. If $200 is deemed to excessive, you are over your head in desiring a photographic/video instrument. Lastly and to your point the improved feature set is such that a number of the features are not even available on the lower cost bodies that in my mind renders them useless to me. Enough Said.

Hello there! How long can the a6600 with the USB power supply? I am planning to record 4-6 hours of non-stop video on 1080p 60fps at 50mb bitrate. Does the battery drain eventually while on USB power during recording? I also heard that the a6100, a6400, and a6600 do not split the file into 4gb so it one big file for the whole shoot (which is awesome). Does it overheat? If you have spare time, can you do a test on this unlimited recording option?

200 usd off the a6600 and 100usd off the 16-55 2.8 this morning. 300usd total. Conversely... Fuji X-T3 with the new 16-80 f4 which has 6 stops of stabilization is at 1799usd which is also a 300usd savings.

A lot of Youtubers reviewing Sony APS-C cameras tell us to buy FF lenses. I bought a 16-70 5 years ago and I don't regret. A 16-35 FF is much less versatile and a Tamron 17-28 is even worse. I also like you own a 10-18 which don't exist for FF. I have a 16 1, 4 which don't exist for FF, an E35 f/1.8 and a 56 1, 4. When I bought the 35 Sony had no FE 35 1.8. Insted of the Sigma 56 I could have bought the Sony 55, but I would still have 4 lenses useless on full frame.
