Jaylen Brown did get chosen as one of the 12 candidates for team USA but he turned it down cause he already had other plans around the Olympics. His pilgrimage trip in the Middle East where he is on right now that he had planned for a while and didn't want to just not go on the trip. So he choose the pilgrimage trip over the Olympics.
