Nothing beats “ tea with Miss McGill” Youngblood is a classic and was on repeat when I was a teenager in the 80’s. The William Orbit music is top notch

Thanks for the recommendations. This time I picked up (1) Misery, (2) Nostalghia and (3) The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari - all in 4KUHD/Blu Ray combo. While on the B&N website, I noticed that Criterion 50% off Sale is also going on at B&N.

Did you hear about the Criterion UK 40% off sale in November? Definitely better than the last sale we got!

I just started collecting this year and am surprised how much I’m getting from B&N. They’ve become the go to for me when it comes to the Criterion collection in particular. I live in Raleigh, North Carolina and the B&N stores around here only seem to have very few Kino Lorber titles so it looks like browsing will be largely online for me.

Thanks for heads up. Just checked half dozen 4k titles on Amazon (US), and half off sale prices are matching the KL Barnes Noble sale.

Young blood is great and a surprise to me being given special treatment.. There are quite a few you showed that I definitely want.

Cowboys and Aliens didn't receive HDR as it was a difficult transfer due to how it was filmed. It was either no HDR or no release. Frank Tarzi, head of Kino, discussed this on the Kino Lorber Shelf Space YouTube video. Highly recommend shelf space episodes.

Brokeback Mountain looks fantastic, but my favourite Ang Lee film (The Ice Storm) has a very poor transfer from criterion and needs a new restoration!

I watched Cry-Baby for the first time last year in a cinema and it was the coolest movie ever. I was buzzing for days! A lot of movies ideia of coolness is just really cringe and toxic, but in this one, it’s so effortless. Even the “squares” had a great vibe. John Waters really knows how to show freaks in their best light and you really wish you were there. I had to buy the 4k when I saw there was one! Also got Brokeback Mountain which is one of my favourites ever 🥰

Plenty received mixed reviews but I really like it. It has the amazing Charles Dance in a lead role and smaller parts for Tracey Ullman, Sir John Gielgud and Ian McKellen. It is one of her movies that no one talks about

My pickups were In Bruges 4K and Andrei Tarkovsky’s Nostalghia on 4K 🙏🏼

Gosh, I saw Youngblood in the cinema- Cannon Hendon in 1986 aged 14. It's not too bad.

Now you’re talking Elliot with The Train. Lancaster and Paul Scofield are great and I love Jeanne Moreau.
