Hobi's 'Villain' Voice Is Actually His Real Tone? | BTS j-hope Surprises Everyone With Dark Persona

Hobi is famously known as BTS and ARMY's Sunshine. But he embraced his darker side during the JITB era.

Hobi usually does a cute voice, especially when trying to make ARMY burst into UWUs. But in Run BTS! Episode 109, Hobi surprised the whole fandom with his deep voice, and no one was ready for it.

The boys were tasked to do some dubbing for three very popular animated films: The Lion King, Toy Story, and Zootopia. In The Lion King, Hobi was given the role of the villain, Scar. Hobi looked pretty pleased getting the villain role. Namjoon, Jin, and Jimin played the three hyenas. The trio did extremely well! Despite Namjoon's crazy hyena laugh, Jin and Jimin stayed in character.

As for Hobi, well, he and Scar could not be more different. Scar is one of the most hated Disney villains while Hobi is one of the most well-loved idols in the world. Known for his bubbly personality, many may have wondered if Hobi could pull it off. Well, he pulled it off. Flawlessly. Yes, Hobi did the Scar voice with his signature Sunshine smile.

Not surprisingly, BTS and the voice acting coach were very impressed. ARMY took to social media to share how surprised they were by Hobi's villainous performance. The most impressive thing is when they replayed the dubbed scene, no one would've guessed Hobi portrayed Scar. I couldn't help but wonder what if this was a real thing and when people looked for Scar's voice actor they'd see this.

Hobi's Scar voice appeared to be the complete opposite of the one we hear a lot from him. But the truth is that Hobi didn't have to dig deep into his soul to find his villain voice. All he had to do was to use his natural morning voice. Let's not forget his birthday greeting to Namjoon. In fact, when Hobi starred in a 2008 musical called "Reverberation", his husky voice was quite prominent. He was around 14 years old at the time. Hobi also flaunted his super-deep vocals in "Baseline." And during his duet with IU. Even Mr. Deep Voice Kim Taehyung tried to imitate Hobi's deep voice.

Now, Hobi enjoys mixing his Sunshine and Scar voice. And it has been giving my heart some unhealthy palpitations.

Hobi isn't the only one. Neva Play still has me shook. The Fandom still hasn't removed from "what's up stallion?". I've always wondered why their music is always so high when thier lower registers are absolutely stunning.

I love Hobi's lower register so much more than his high-pitched voice. It's sexier and it just suits him better. BTS filmed a TV interview a long time ago, maybe 2017-2019, and the group was asked who would make the best husband. I believe Jin immediately shouted out J-Hope, and proceeded to list the qualities that Hobi had that would make the ideal husband. I wish I could watch that again.

I loved that run bts episode! I remember being so impressed with Hobi's villainous voice. I love his deep voice whether he's singing, rapping or speaking. I was impressed with all the members voice acting skills to be honest, they were all incredible!

Hobi is very energetic, dramatic, and animated in his expressions. He is a natural at acting and would be just as successful in that field. If he ever chose that path or acted on the side like some other idols do I’m all for it. Kdrama’s are my all time favorites 💜🫶🏼

J-hope, as Scar is fabulous. His tone isn't forced or fake, and it's obvious he enjoyed the role, as well. Then again, Namjoon and his laughter just made the hyenas. They all did well, but Hobi? Man, that natural lower register is something to bless our ears with.
