I went shark diving to find the world's rarest shark, the clouded angelshark, in Japan. This shark is extremely rare and has not been spotted by experts in over 10 years.

Dived with and photogrpahed a clouded angleshark on the nearby Izu peninsula a couple of years ago. they're Big fellas. i assume 'not seen in 10 years' was referring to the Boso pensinula as there have been a few sightings of this species around Mikomoto in recent years.

So awesome! That red stingray is wild to see. Plus the angel shark is a once in a lifetime experience. I bet the adrenaline rush you get from these finds is better than any drugs.

That's a really cool place. The mountain in the background is also beautiful. The biodiversity is amazing.

Hey Forrest,

I’m a New Zealand Based Biologist Ornithologist and Seabird fanatic. We’re home to some 33% of the worlds Tubenosed seabirds including 14 species of Albatross. The majority of which are either endangered or critically endangered mostly due to fisheries interactions and climate change/ocean warming. Would absolutely love to have you come down and talk about their plight, given the longline tuna fishery driven by consumption in the US Asia and Europe is a major contributing factor. Would be awesome to get your exposure and enthusiasm behind these guys. I have contacts within the national wildlife service who’re also experts on our seabirds who I can get involved too. Would absolutely love to hear from your team!
Cheers,
David Thomas

For those saying that he shouldn’t go near a stingray or what happened to Steve would happen to him, you don’t need to worry. The ray only attacked Steve because it was acting in defense whether it was thinking Steve was a shark or because he was cornered. It was also only fatal to Steve because of where it hit. Yes you should be careful with animals because they are still wild.

You should cover the topic of the Wallace line. Can you explain why animals don't seem to cross the Wallace line?
