Witness origins: Bungie didn't know what the Darkness was for 6 or so years and decided that having a Darth Sidious imprint #9, 538 over the Pyramids being the collective body of the Winnower as Traveler is the Gardener, would be a better idea when they came to a broad idea of what the Darkness is.
