The intro in TROY always seemed to be like a separate song. I never knew why it was just abruptly ended. This track is great!

This is why hip hop is so great. It can introduce you to music that you will love before you even hear it. Just listened to this and Tom Scott's cover of "Today" Pete Rock is a genius

I have always been in love with this intro sequence right before TROY. It just sets the song up perfectly! Before I found this I used to rewind that 12 seconds of instrumental bliss over and over cause I was so in love with it. Incredible track!

The shredding of the guitar from the get-go makes me happy to be a human being on this earth!

23 years old. There are SOME quality artists on youtube. We all know mainstream music is soulless, tactless, and empty. STILL, nothing today compares to this beautiful era of music. An era of instrumentation, and true artistry. Since the age of 19 I've committed myself to studying...really studying music just like this. A 90s kid, but this is the kind of music I was raised on (thanks mom and dad).

This is the epitome of melanated soul power! It is so deep and spiritual as if the soul is ascending to higher heights as the song plays. To play it and meditate on it will put you in a trance!

This tune is everything great about music. Gotta thank Pete Rock for introducing it to thousands of us, a complete and utter gem.

One never-ending jam. To think of a time when an actual human just sat there and jammed out unique music nonstop for four minutes. The mind of musicians is just amazing. Pure creativity flowing right here.

This track sounds like they were well into jamming before they even started recording

Ah.... The beginning of They Reminisce About You :-) This was a perfect sample for that song. The second sample in that song was from the song Today by Tom Scott. But that was a remake of Jefferson Airplane's Today. It's amazing how real music will never die. Maybe someday an artist from today's music scene will use these samples to create another good song. But I wouldn't hold my breath :-'(
