Rest in peace, Kris. May there be mountains, dogs, code and awesome programming languages, wonderful humans, lovely servers and all the technologies you loved so much where you have gone now. For that everything will be prepared for us, when we follow you. See you in the next live so you can sign your books for me again.

This has been very useful. I'm setting up my own Mastodon instance and hopefully I can get it online sometime next year. I'll be honest, I'm still very new to all this stuff and am learning as much as I can from all the resources I can find.

Great episode - it's been a while since I've thought about the Fidonet node I ran on an SCO Xenix system "back in the day" 😀

when she says she built that server rack almost as a way to keep her sanity in her day job - i can very much relate to that.

Amazing interview!! I like her live streams on Twitch and although I don't know anything about Rust it is fascinating to see other people code

Thanks for sharing such an awesome conversation. As a long-term dev, the philosophical takes were especially good to hear. Psychological safety is a phrase I'm gonna add to my toolkit and try to practice more going forward.

Technology was definitely more fun 30 years ago Scott. I'm sad for the younger technologists because they have no idea whose shoulders they are standing on. Nice video!

RIP but I am little bit mad Kris about mountains. Fucking mountains they are really good, she once showed their mountain path on the twitch stream. I wish she can come back
