The Bachelorette Katie Thurston and Blake Moynes Talk Marriage and Greg BLOWUP!

ET’s Rachel Smith spoke with ‘The Bachelorette’ star Katie Thurston and fiancé Blake Moynes about their wedding plans, moving and Katie’s heated reunion with contestant Greg Grippo. The newly engaged couple also opened up their unexpected proposal and why Katie thought Blake wasn’t going to get down on one knee.

She may have had feelings for Greg but he ruined it with his immature expectations of love. It’s kind of ironic actually as people watch this show for a fantasy “love story, ” however the reality is a lot more complicated and ambiguous than he could handle. It’s the disruption of this fantasy that the fans quibbling with. I think she had a better grasp of the shows expectations and thus proceeded the best should could given the restraints.

Well that seemed a little...can't put my finger on it. I really liked Katie on Matt's season, but now I'm wondering if that is because she left relatively soon and the circumstances were flipped. I agree with some comments that there seems to be a disconnect with their body language. In the few post interviews I have seen Katie seems to dominate the conversation. Perhaps Blake is good with that. I guess time will tell. But I personally think she was going to choose Greg and after what transpired, Blake was the fall guy because she seemed very determined to walk away being an engaged woman. Hmmm...

These two are a far better match than Greg. Blake is outdoorsy, just like Katie wanted, will do the rugged camping thing, has a passion for wildlife and the environment, loves animals, travel, and will be a rock to her more outgoing personality and help balance her. I really do hope they go the distance because I can actually 'see it' working out well long-term, which is more than I can usually say for the couples that come out of this franchise. I guess time will tell. Greg isn't a bad guy, he just needs more time to work on himself and his emotional side and I just think his best match will ultimately be a little different from Katie.
