At time t, there is already some snow on the plow (from the previous pick)

I don't understand why at time t he only considers the momentum of the plow (and doesn't take into account some snow)

The prerequisite to this course is high school physics and calculus 1. Calculus 2 is a corequisite.

So, if you are fluent in differential equations and find this too basic, move on to upper division mechanics.
