We spent three months driving around 8,000 kilometres in Kia’s latest petrol-electric Sportage GT-Line Hybrid and we have a lot to say about it.

From family friendliness and cabin practicality to its on-road manners and hybrid frugality, we’ll take you through all aspects of the Toyota RAV4 rival in our two-part verdict of the Sportage and decide whether you should consider buying one.

At over $60K on road, Kia Sportage GT-Line hybrid isn’t cheap and competes against the likes of RAV4, Hyundai’s Tucson hybrid and the Nissan X-Trail.

In part one of our wrap-up, custodian Zak Adkins runs through his initial appraisal of the Snow White Pearl long-termer he affectionately calls “Filipe’.

Honestly this long term review didn't bring anything new that hasn't already been covered by earlier reviews for when the car first came out. Was expecting something more insightful.

When does part two come? Is it a few weeks of waiting?

For everyone saying no at $60k that’s my budget, what should I buy at that budget then? 🙏🏻
