It would be awesome if you guys had a weekly condensed 5-10 minute weekly wrap-up.

Great show as usual. I would love to have this as a podcast like Our Ludicrous Future used to do.

SpaceX Crew Dragon has the ability to do “standalone missions” as demonstrated by Inspiration 4. NASA could “Buy up” 12 of the next 24 commercial missions (1/2 of everything through 2026). That would allow NASA to train 24 astronauts before the moon landing assuming everyone flies twice.

Nothing says "we believe you Boeing" than switching some of the crew to Dragon.

As a space enthusiast since the early 60's I find the nonsense with Boeing to be very sad, having worked in the aerospace industry since the late 70's until 2 years ago I have watched it devolve into this game of cost overruns and delays for fun and profit from the inside . I always stayed away from working directly for the big aerospace companies in spite of my ties to General Dynamics back when they were the ones making Atlas rockets, but that gave me the opportunity to work on special projects for the big and small companies . I worked on several Atlas rocket firsts dating back to the first Atlas IIA up to the first Atlas V . When SpaceX hit the scene I had already seen several space startups fail so I was hopeful but not convinced till they started actually trying to land the booster stage, then it started getting real .
Old space seems to not know what to do when confronted with a company driven by results instead of money, and the funny thing is by being result driven the money part takes care of itself, but old space has lost all ethics and it seems that is going to be what kills them in the end .

i think nasa should drop starliner and divert funds to dreamchaser as for a new station how about 4 starships tethered together on a starship with a central docking ring, no flaps, no heat shielding maybe even smaller fuel tanks to leave room for more crew space more lifesupport and radiation /thermal sheilding, solar panels as a flat disk connecting the 4 spoke starships ??

Ian and Thomas remind me of kerbals...can we get some sort of KSP filter on them next stream?

TIME In the interest of reducing time why doesn't SpaceX get started on building a double-wide Jetty? Move boosters in-and-out move Starships in-and- Out and Dock offshore launch platforms for loading. Stop wasting time with Highway 4 speed up the expansion.

Maybe the docking problem of MS19 was part of the script of the movie they are making?

@NasaSpaceflight are the docking ports designed such that the Starship could dock with the ISS and also dock with the Crew Dragon? i.e. the ports are bidirectional in that the incoming port is the same as the outgoing port...
...or even Starliner or DreamChaser?

SEND GEORGE TAKEI WITH WILLIAM SHATNER!!!! WORP FACTOR ONE

Why doesn't SpaceX send up the booster only with coaxial fuel tanks as refueling ships? Less rockets required no Starship required.

watch the starliner fix end up being something like sillica gel packets tossed in there.

I wonder what will happen if OFT-2 finds another issue when on the launchpad that causes another delay. Or if OFT-2 fails. I'm interested to see what would happen in that scenario.

So, were the tardigrades astronauts, or just tourists? Ha.

You’re reading too much into them saying that all starliner launches are planned to go on Atlas. They have Atlas reserved through starliner-6, and then it’s end of conversation. Doesn’t mean that there’s no future, just no contracts or things that they can discuss.

They don't really need to worry about Starship affecting ISS operations being attached for long periods of time because it could just return to Earth after delivering the astronauts and then return to the ISS when it's time for them to leave.
