Dang, this is spot on. As an istp with an istj boyfriend, everything you said is the same. He gets so mad when I ask him why or how he does certain things, only because I want to know, and maybe so I can learn. Anything that he does he does so perfect. If he cooks breakfast he will have everything laid out perfectly. Perfectly cooked eggs, bacon, potatoes and pancakes. Now when I try to make a perfect breakfast, since I'm all over the place and not really focused I give him eggs with a piece if shell, soggy bacon, and potatoes with maybe a dog hair (which upsets him so much) and just okay pancakes. Lol. He gets angry. I get mad (sometimes pretend), then tell him that he is ungrateful, I leave to another room to be by myself, he follows me and asks me to watch something on TV with him, then we are happy again... that's a normal sunday morning lol. Depending on who cooks. But if he makes a mistake cooking he will sulk about it for hours while I just get bored listening. :b

(ISTP) My ISTJ husband automatically looks for the practical application of what I am saying merely for its face-value. He interprets and often doesn’t just ‘answer my question’ but tells me more information or different information because he read into my question. I’ll make an observation comment and he’ll say, “Don’t judge.” He attached motive to my comment. That’s typical. 😏

Im ISTJ and my eldest daughter is ISTP. When ever ive said what i said im pretty clear i know im right and fair. But she will always act like she knew better and so now what i said didnt matter. Her being my daugter it comes off really disrespectful. Especially when she tries to combat what ive said. Never making any rational sense.

Your analysis of the gf sounds like she's ISFJ. They have Te trickster so they dont analyze what the other person already knows..so I can relate to you when she makes you feel stupid. I had an ISFJ Supervisor and he used to do the same thing to me. Had an ISTJ coworker once and he always was aware what people know or are thinking in comparison to my ISFJ Supervisor. ISTJ coworker would criticize my ISFJ Supervisor for having such a poorly designed work system which is typical lol.

I’m wondering if you are able to take your Ti thinking and communicate to others best in writing versus discussion... Like in a fight is it better to talk about things via text or writing than discussion?
