Based on Marvel Comics' superhero character, this is a story of Peter Parker who is a nerdy high-schooler. He was orphaned as a child, bullied by jocks, and can't confess his crush for his stunning neighborhood girl Mary Jane Watson. To say his life is "miserable" is an understatement. But one day while on an excursion to a laboratory a runaway radioactive spider bites him... and his life changes in a way no one could have imagined. Peter acquires a muscle-bound physique, clear vision, ability to cling to surfaces and crawl over walls, shooting webs from his wrist ... but the fun isn't going to last. An eccentric millionaire Norman Osborn administers a performance enhancing drug on himself and his maniacal alter ego Green Goblin emerges. Now Peter Parker has to become Spider-Man and take Green Goblin to the task... or else Goblin will kill him. They come face to face and the war begins in which only one of them will survive at the end.

Not gonna lie when they got to the warehouse and Peter started acting like a spider and using the environment to his advantage, it was nightmare fuel

This scene man..the music, the direction, Peter’s labored breathing almost like a wolf foaming at the mouth ready to hunt down its prey. Just ahh *chefs kiss*

Of all the characters in the Marvel Universe, Spider-man has always been my favourite.

It's been so many years and I still cry my eyes out at this masterpiece of a scene

For me this is one of the most memorable moments in this movie. Not cause of Uncle Ben dying (though of course that does hurt) but Peter running, putting on the rest of his costume, the camera shots, the music it just really gets you going so much. This movie is amazing.

I showed this movie to my 6 yr old cousin for the first time, and when we got to this part she asked me; “when does he start being Spider-Man?” And I told her that this IS him being Spider-Man for the first time

When my Uncle Ben was killed....
I hunted down the man who I thought did it.

I wanted him dead.

*I got what I wanted.*

Cliff Robertson brought us many years of great films over many decades and generations. I really respected him as an actor and I really enjoyed a lot of movies and tv series that he did over the span of his career and I think it was a great loss when he passed!

When Ben dies right in front of Peter and Peter hears the police radio of the situation is such a powerful moment. It is one of the best call to action moments not only in superhero movies but in any movie ever. He is still so unsure of himself and his abilities but in that moment it doesn't even matter. He has to do what he has to do no matter what.

I know I wasn’t the only one crying in the movie theater when this first came out

When I was with my ex girlfriend, I watched this with her while she had no prior knowledge of Spider-Man or anything marvel related. We had to pause this scene and take a break because she bawled for like an hour. That's how we know this movie is timeless, because even when we're grown up, this scene can draw such emotions from us.

This is why he became a hero, just like Bruce Wayne.

Cliff Robertson's Uncle Ben was MILES better and far more genuine than Martin Sheen's.

The part when he's about to take his FIRST SWING! Omg I FELT IT!
Like the FEAR but also it being overcome by his Rage and Determination to get Uncle Ben's killer!
Such an awesome moment! And the music building up! Sam Raimi nailed this!
