Webinar: AI Regulation - The EU Approach
Показать описание
We hosted a webinar looking at AI Regulation: The EU Approach on Tuesday, June 23.
The anticipated EU regulation of AI will be a major change for those organisations that design, build and supply artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) based products. Unsurprisingly, the EU is taking a very different approach to the US with regard to the regulation of AI and ML. The approach is expected to materially impact on how those US AI and ML companies will maintain lawful access to a market of almost 500 million EU consumers.
Our speakers reviewed the European Commission's recent White Paper on AI which will set the framework for the anticipated AI regulations. We also reviewed the impact of the EU Report on Safety and Liability Implications of AI for those operating in the sector, and explained how the EU’s data protection framework influences the design of AI solutions in Europe. In addition, we considered the impact of these developments on product developers and discussed some of the key regulatory and liability issues arising for them as a result.
