Dave Hogue, Design Lead at Google, moderated a panel with Frincy Clement, Katherine Valenzuela, and Jason Theodor -- asking the question "Should We Trust AI?" This conference took place on November 30, 2023.

As the race to launch new AI products and services continues at great speed, we increasingly find ourselves asking fundamental questions about the role of AI in our daily lives: How might I use this? Do I need it? Should I trust it?

Ethicists, creators, engineers, scientists, and more are focused on how AI models are trained and applied. Everyone is talking about AI, and we see it on TV, in movies, on the web, and on our phones. Despite this growing presence (and senses of both inevitability and caution), we still have many questions about how it works and what it can (or should) do for us.

Technological advances bring changes to computing, communication, work, arts, relationships, and even societies. The way we create AI, use AI, and limit AI will influence how AI finds a place in our daily lives in the years ahead.

In this panel with David Hogue, Katherine Valenzuela, Frincy Clement, and Jason Theodor, let’s discuss these questions that challenge and shape the field of AI.
