These are great, but shoulder width weighted chin-ups will grow both your biceps and lats massively.

Another tip - Forget about everything you've heard about full ROM and just think of driving your elbows towards your hips.

I feel my lats when I don’t move I move back and forth with heavier weight so I keep my back straight and tight and work out with a lighter Weight

I would suggest just doing rows on the machine and keeping constant tension on the muscles and now doing full rom or practice doing pullups properly by leading with your chest and about shoulder width apart grip. This will make you retract the scapulae and give you the most activation in your lats.

I work my lats when i dont even know im working my lats, its pretty funny. Id say hardest muscle to connect with is Glutes or Quads for me. Any ideas?

Just do pull ups, you gonna feel your lats alot more because it works them alot more, it also is a great way to build rear delts. Lat pull down is simply a downgraded version of the pull up. This comes from experience and not by some study done by a university.
