HOW TO | DIY MICROLOCS INSTALLATION PART 2 🌱 | (Braided root) & Two Strand Twist Method

In today’s video, I’m showing you guys how I install my daughters microlocs ! This is her second set of microlocs, the first set was taken out because I didn’t know much about interlocking at the time and wanted to retwist, but it didn’t come out how I planned.

But I’ve done my research for months & we will be interlocking using the 2 point rotation method. I will make sure to film the first retie for you guys 🫶🏽

She has always loved microlocs better, it gives her a fuller look and wayy more confidence.

Anywayssss…. The method I used to start is both BRAID & TWO STRAND TWIST. I’ve always done this method, even with traditional locs & it just works so much better for us ESPECIALLY little kids. My girls have a lot of little hairs that will never stay in place so that’s why I braid the roots.

This whole process took about 8 active hours.

I am officially about to loc my daughters hair . She hates getting her hair done and I’m sick of the crying and yelling and the hassle 😂 PLUS she literally locs her own hair ! She will twist it until it locs by itself and then I try to get it out and hair falls out so this is the best for her

I never even thought of pre-parting each row.

Also I want to say to the ppl, mothers, kids anyone ! Don’t let the “permanent” word scare you into not getting locs! If you ever change your mind you don’t have to cut your hair, they can be COMBED OUT ! nothing about locs is permanent if you have the patience & motivation to comb them out 😉 I’ve done this 7 times already with all 3 of us….
