Loved Bonanza, still watch it. It's one of the few things on TV these days that is decent.

Wonderful video! We were there in 1973, as well. I remember that Joe's horse Cochise and Hoss's horse Chub were there.

That was shortly after the show was cancelled, and if you noticed, the picture of the Cartwrights didn't include Adam!

Thanks for posting this. Much appreciated. The strange thing is that I live around the corner now (literally 5 minutes from it) - and didn't know about the park as it was dismantled in 2004. I was a huge fan of the show as a kid. What a surprise to find out about the park just now.

I was at the Ponderosa Ranch in 1977, but don't remember seeing much of what is on this film,
except the main house! I remember that "Little Joe's" horse, "Cochise", was still in the corral &
that we were told that some scenes, from the last two seasons, were shot there! In 1981, I met
Lorne Greene & he autographed a "Ponderosa" map, bought there, which I still have, to this day!

I loved Bonanza as a kid, this theme park seemed a bit disappointing though, was it where the film show was made ? doesn't seem to look anything like it and where is the main house ?

The show was not filmed at the park. The filming was in California.

The end of a era like gunsmoke to many things to do .Yuppies and tree huggers .The land has more value .Casinos and expensive cars.Playground for rich 🤑 Montana had that problem.
