I have had very low magnesium for years now. I just had blood work done and I my magnesium test was only at 1.7.
Now mind you I take 1500 mg when I wake up and 1500 mg when I go to bed. I also will take one or two more during the day when I feel the magnesium pain coming and I hurt all over.
I am a type 2 diabetic, and I'm not proud that my A1C is an 8.6 with no medication. I tried Glucophage many many many times and it does nothing. Not even the diarrhea, it doesn't even touch my blood sugar so there's no reason to take something that's going to ruin my liver my diabetes is going out on its own. But I do have a lot of stress in my life and I mean a lot. I just don't understand how I can hurt so bad all over my body and I tell my doctor this and it just goes through when you're not the other I just lay in bed because I can't move and then my sister who is a nurse keeps telling me that I can't be taking that much magnesium or else I can cause a heart attack but if I don't I'm in spending much pain I go nuts. I hurt so bad that I can't get out of bed but I'll move because the pain it awful. I know the difference between pain in my legs due to that time of the month and low magnesium. But at one time it was only in my legs then it went to my arms also and now it is all over my body. Please help me get help to figure out what is the best magnesium to take because I don't know how much longer I can handle this. I do take pain medication for my herniated disc's in my back, but pain meds don't touch magnesium pain. Then taking a lot of magnesium is a catch 22. I was also diagnosed with ileus back in January of 2015 or maybe it was 2016 but I was dealing with the bloating since I believe 2014 but it was no where near as bad then as it is now. I did take a pregnancy test back then because I did look aprox 6 months pregnant but thank goodness it came back negative. But I have had a couple very bad spells where I should have been in the emergency room because the pain in my back was so bad, I was bloated so bad that it felt as if I was an inner tube and someone was feeling me with air and was supposed to stop at 30 psi but they didn't and they were up to 60 psi and kept going. That is how bad it was, but I had no one to take me or no one to watch my little Yorkie was very ill. But the time I ended up in the ER I was really bad and they said I had ileus, they couldn't understand how I had it because I when they asked me if I had any stomach surgeries in the last few months or car accidents and I said no, they said they had no clue why I would even have it. But they kept me for a couple of days and they were going to put a tube up my nose into my stomach to get the pressure off of my diaphragm so I can breathe. He was wanting to give me some major pain medication and I refused but eventually I gave in and I will tell you what Dilaudid was a Godsend. I was no longer in pain and I could breathe and I felt normal for the first time in months if not years. They told me I needed to go see a GI doctor asap and I did and he said there was nothing wrong with me the next year I doctor I went to they said it was my gallbladder and I said no my gallbladder don't hurt.
I don't know why these doctors don't listen to the patient not once has my stomach hurt at all the pain was always in my meant to lower back. And the one GI doctor told me I will be back when my gallbladder out and I never went back. That is when I started to watch everything and everything I could find on ileus.
Although I am low on magnesium actually very low and I take as much magnesium as I take it does help me be able to eat at least once a day and it does push through everything not as quick as it should but at least I get to eat I believe now I'm at the point of being malnutrition and I think I'm starting to do muscle wasting but nobody will listen I tell my doctor how bad I'm hurting and everything and just goes through one or not the other they try to say I have five or analgia which who knows I may I don't have a clue I just know that this pain is awful my bloating is terrible awful and everything above and not being able to eat is very bad too. I try to eat the same meals every day because I know what I will feel like after I eat it if I eat red meat it takes longer to digest and I really pay for it if I eat around 10:00 a.m. and say I do go get me something to eat and a decent size amount of food I might be able to eat by 10:00 to midnight that evening but just like a peanut butter sandwich. There's no way that I could eat like I used to and have a meal and then 6 hours later eat again because if I did I'd end up in the ER. So I pray that someone will read this and be able to help me. I'm going to go to a gonestead chiropractor and see if they can help with my back being the way it is maybe there's something pinched just causing this bloating and everything I can't get no help from regular doctors so I want to try natural doctors I just pray they take my insurance.
Thank you to whoever reads this and more importantly God bless.🙏💞🙏

Take apple cider vinegar for an acidic stomach. Sounds counter-intuitive, but it works!

I take Prilosec, called Losec in Canada. Does Prilosec (Omeprazole Magnesium) have magnesium in it?
